Bill Gladstone founded Waterside Productions, Inc. in 1982 and has personally placed more than 5000 titles with dozens of publishers. He has represented stars of the technical world ranging from Peter Norton to Linus Torvalds and was responsible for selling the first “For Dummies” book, Dos for Dummies by Dan Gookin, which led to the phenomenal series which now has sold over 200 million copies.

Currently Mr. Gladstone personally represents individual authors such as spiritual teachers Eckhart Tolle and Neale Donald Walsch, radio talk show host Thom Hartmann, international peace advocate Dr. Ervin Laszlo, philanthropist Shari Arison, novelist Victor Villasenor, environmental activists Michael Tobias, Paul Ehrlich, Hunter Lovins, and many other outstanding authors and professionals dedicated to creating books which inspire and improve the world. Mr. Gladstone is also the author of the best-selling novels THE TWELVE, THE POWER OF TWELVE, co-author with Jack Canfield of THE GOLDEN MOTORCYCLE GANG as well as producer of the film TAPPING THE SOURCE and co-author of the book TAPPING THE SOURCE.

Margot Maley Hutchison has been a senior literary agent with Waterside Productions, Inc. since 1992. She has represented more than 1,200 books and generated over 15 million dollars in revenue for her authors. She represents quality nonfiction on the following topics: computer, health, psychology, parenting, fitness, pop-culture, and business. She prides herself on working with authors and editors throughout the life of each book, from developing and editing excellent proposals, to helping with marketing and author platform.

Throughout her career at Waterside, Margot has worn many hats in addition to the agent hat. She was a key organizer of the Waterside Publishing Conference, the leading technical publishing conference in the industry. As the head of the Waterside Foreign Rights department until 2002, she generated hundreds of licensing deals and was the sole foreign representative for Novell Press.

For the past ten years Margot has concentrated on supplementing authors’ print work with web opportunities. She has created entirely new sales channels for all Waterside authors in online instruction, corporate website assignments, training and creating downloadable apps. Neil joined Waterside in 2002, forming in cooperation with Bill Gladstone the Waterside Foreign Rights division. Prior to joining Waterside, Neil managed rights for numerous divisions of the Thomson Publishing group and several independent publishing houses as well. He began his publishing career in 1989 as a Rights Assistant at Farrar, Straus & Giroux.

At Waterside Neil has represented numerous bestselling works from authors including Eckhart Tolle, Richard Bach, Neale Donald Walsch, William L. Simon, Ervin Laszlo and many others. He has licensed books into over 40 languages. Neil represents books in most publishing categories but does not handle children’s books, science-fiction nor illustrated/coffee table books.
